How to disable the norton anti-virus start on windows startup ?

When I start windows , norton anti-virus automatically starts . How can I disable that ?

1. got to start run type in msconfig go to start-up and disable the norton stuff, but I'm curious if you don't want it running why don't you just uninstall it

3. Open Norton antivirus, then turn "auto-protect" feature off in the settings menu.
4. Right click on the icon and there a window will open up with a place to disable it.
5. Download a freeware from www.startGuard.net Install the program. It will give the option about what you you want to allow at start-up. Those programs will not be disabled. You can run them any time after start-up.
6. For Pete's sake -- don't do this. There are low-lifes out there who are constantly working on ways to get to your personal information. Norton AV is the last thing you want to disable.
