How do you update your anti-virus program on a stand-alone PC?

I have another PC in the house that has no internet connection. I just wanted to ask if how could I update my anti-virus on that unit even without internet connection? Both of my PCs are using the same brand of anti-virus. Of course, the one with the Internet connection is always updated everyday. But what about this other without Internet connection? Is there a way to update there? If yes, what is the procedure and what are the files needed to copy from one pc (internet) to another (without internet)?

1. It would deoend on which anti virus program you were using,some might allow you to copy the update to a disc and run it on the other machine but if it's not connected to the internet the chances of virus infection are pretty small unless you routinely copy files from unprotected machines to it. I wouldn't worry about it.
2. You would have to visit the website of the anti-virus program and hopefully they have docs on how to manually update their program. Also, you might want to consider using another anti-virus program on the second machine. There are some very good free ones. Then just once a week download the new program or it's virus definition file and install it manually. Have you considered buying a router? They are inexpensive and very easy to setup. Then you could plug in your second PC and share your internet connection. Routers generally allow you to connect and share up to 4 computers.
3. Go to the web site, some sites call these file different things so look for one of these... Definition files. Updates Def Files or something similar. Then take those, download then, then burn them to CD/DVD and take that CD/DVD to the other computer and do a local update if that AV has that options. Hope this helps.
