What is the best anti-virus and spy ware to get on internet?

We have Bell Sympatico but unable to get the anti-virus and spyware removal just yet.I am looking for something will cheap just to get an infected virus off my computer.It has slowed way down.Sympaticao is suppose to be hight-speed.

2. bitdefender, nod32, they offer trial periods. but not free after trial, probably the best two out there. but i find that nod32 disables functionality with my dvd n cd roms. so i stopped using it. check the link supplied below to find information on EVERY anti-virus, along with links to each one for downloading.

7. eTrust Internet Security Suite Total Internet Protection It removes spyware,spam,viruses,it has a firewall and many other things I personally have it installed on my computer and it works great, it removed a virus as soon i installed it and it only costs like $30 Look for it on office depot or officedepot.com
8. Norton Antivirus works great for virus and Ad-aware for spyware.

11. We have McAfee & seems to work just fine for us. We did not buy the whole thing, just anti-virus & spyware I believe...
