What anti virus and firewall protection is better than norton anti virus and mozilla firefox?

I have norton anti virus and mozilla firefox but they seem to slow my pc down. I've already done a disk clean up and a defrag but it is still acting funny. Please help!

  2. Try panda internet security 2007 software. I had many problems with my laptop and this software completed rid my all my problems.
  3. Please please get rid of Norton. It is resource hogging and useless. Avast Home editon from www.avast.com and Comodo firewall from www.personalfirewall.comodo.com will do the job much better. You made a good choice with Firefox though.
  4. I like Macafee. I have had no problems with them in the years I have been using it. Costco tends to have a good price (if you are in the US). Just make sure that when and if you switch, you delete all files related to the old program you were using... a complete uninstall. Good luck!

  6. I recommend AVG Antivirus free edition. Also install a spyware programs. Again AVG Antispyware is great and also Spybot S&D, Ad Aware Personal Edition. They are all free and say goodbye to Norton. For firewall you can try Comodo Personal Firewall. Its again free.
