Is it easy to Install windows XP on a newly bought hard disk?
My old hard disk with Windows XP on it crapped out, and I do not want to reinstall and fix it myself. I am planning to buy a new hard disk and install windows XP from the same CD that I used to install XP on my old Hard disk. Will there be any Problems?

- maybe at first, If it's sata it might not find the disk and will require drivers.
- Shouldn't be if it's a Western Digital HD! No, just kidding, you should be alright until it's fully loaded, and it asks you to activate. Call the Microsoft phone number given, tell the computer voice it's the first computer,(because it is!), and go through the number game,(you'll see what I mean!). It's not hard, and you'll be back online in no time!
- hey jcarlo just hook up the HD then put the XP disk in cd/dvd - player and turn on computer it will prompt u what to do ! got any questions i have 60 hd's in total just for fun ! LOL http://myspace.com/50462903
- No immediate problems, but you will need to ensure you have ALL the hardware drivers for your machine first as many of these will not be included in XP.
