Is it possible to reinstall windows xp from the cab files on the computer?
I have lost my windows xp disk and need to reinstall windows xp. I heard someone mention that you can reinstall windows xp from the cab files. Is this true? If so how do you do this?

- You can't do this, copying the cab files is difficult as they locate all over the drive, also this does not initialise the registry.
- NO!
- No way !
- it is Possiable but very diffuclt to do ( unless you know what your doing ) But Most XP Systems do have a Recovery System which will Re-Install Windows XP or you can use the Windows XP Recovery Disk ( which you should have gotten or Had to Make)
- simple answer ... No provided you still have the COA, use someone else's CD
- If you have a copy of the i386 folder of the installation CD, you can reinstall it, otherwise, it is very difficult to do it without the installation/recovery CD.
