Will using the Repair feature on the Windows Xp Installation disk delete the files on my computer?

Im unable to start windows (not even in safe mode) but have a Windows Xp Installation Disk. Will using the repair feature on the disk delete my computers documents and other files?

1. No! The only way you will lose EVERYTHING is if you format the drive (i.e. delete the partition) your OS is installed on. Using repair will just replace all the windows files.
