How do i downgrade my Windows Vista Home Premium to Home basic?

Originally, my laptop is windows vista home basic...after upgrading my windows vista into home premium, my laptop became messed up!! Now i wanna restore my laptop. is there anyway i can downgrade my laptop back to windows vista home basic?

2. If you had already had a backup of the system files, you could copy them back to the drive. This many a times does not help. Upgrading is a process of making your computer better. Degrading is not done just as upgrading. If you do not need your program registry entry, then format your computer and reinstall Windows Vista Home Basic. Vista computers have a geno-controller program. They will retain their original settings if you upgrade your PC. That is why your PC was messed up. Laptops are very sensitve to work on. These wrong settings can lead to overloading in Vista PC's and ultimately exploding or faliure of hard drives.
