What is the difference between these windows vista types?
I saw these on newegg. Windows Vista home premium 64bit for Systems builders, and windows Vista home premium. Whats the diff? The systems builder one is an OEM product does that matter?

- Each operating system has more features than the previous edition of vista. Vista home basic has multiple security issues, but has less features. Windows vista ultimate has all the features included
- There isn't a difference between the system builder and the OEM version, however there is a difference between the 64 bit version and the 32 bit version (which is probably the other version). You need a 64 bit processor to run the 64 bit version, most processors on the market are 64 bit processors, but if you have an older system you may not have a 64 bit processor and won't be able to run the 64bit version. Also, they are even fewer drivers for the 64bit version of Vista than there are for the 32bit version. Most folks recommend avoiding the 64bit version of Vista until the driver situation is sorted out.
- Technically they are of the same options, the difference is that the 64bit works on the 64bit computers. they are computers with a different processor architecture than the more common 32bit computers. So, they need different software, that's why there is vista foe 64bit as well as vista for 32bit There is also XP for 64bit as well.
- Most systems are 32 bit - to check this right click on computer and select properties. Under system and beside system type it will tell you what you have. 64 bit gives you better performance. But not as many manufacturers have drivers/upgrades for 64 yet because not as many users use it. 32-bit is top priority.
