How do you fix a dell B130 that only shows windows xp and does not start?

Every time i turn on my laptop it shows windows xp and dosent start. P.S My laptop does not start.

2. run a chkdsk on it from the recovery console. or if the chkdsk doesnt work you can try doing a system restore back a few days and try that.
