How can I password protect folders on a windows xp home network so other computers need to know the password?

All four machines have windows xp home, one machine 'server' has data that must only be available with a password. When I share a folder in xp home, I don't get the option to password protect it. What software can I use if I can't use xp's own built in fuctions?? Many thanks
