What is the best laptop to buy for a student and to use as entertainment?

I currently have a Dell (which I hate) and beginning to look for a new laptop. I am a college student and work part-time in public relations. I also listen to a lot of music and watch DVDs when I'm at the airport. I am looking for a new laptop that has a realy big disk space, something relaible, and isn't too high in the purchase price. So any suggestions is greatly apprecaited. And please no Dell!!!!

1. First, my sympathies on the Dell! Now, I just bought a terrific notebook from WalMart! It's a Gateway. It has 3GB of RAM and a 320GB HDD! I paid $698.00 plus tax. I am a Gateway guy to begin with but, I tried a Dell, an Acer( which wasn't too bad BTW). All because the first Gateway I chose wasn't big enough. Other than that I loved it. I regretted ever returning it. So when this one showed up at WalMart, I grabbed it up immediately! In fact, there is an HP on the same web page for $598.00 that my wife is buying! Don't pay attention to the eMachines logo on the Gateway screen, it really is a Gateway!

3. buy a apple laptop... because i love apple products! and Dells dont suck maybe yours does :) Did you break it? lol

Go for HP DV6767TX thrive edition. it has amazing looks of copper color and hp's thrive imprint... looks really gr8 it is also good on tech-specs and has 3gb ram, 250 gb hdd, 1.83ghz processor, 15.5" screen, 128 mb nvidia graphis card it costs around 55000 rs. if u want its 14.1" sibling is also available for a few thousand bucks less...

6. Dear Girl, I am a manager for an IT firm in Dubai. After a long research I have replaced all laptops in my Office ACER Travelmate or ASPIRE series. They are Cheaper, They Deliver, they have a terrific service response, Warranty upgrade (Care PAC). The Hardware and software are fine tuned. Which means Rare Hanging or Screen of Death. They carry a pickup and drop back support in Dubai, You need to see if this is available at your location. Good thing you ll go for an ACER every time. You make sure you have all original software.

9. As I do not know the disk space as well as the other better qualities available with your present laptop, I cannot comment rightly on the same. Yet, after going through your complaints about your laptop, I would like to suggest that you could go for a Mac latest Laptop, if you could afford for the same, as it is much more costlier than the rest. So just visit a Mac showroom, if you are serious about your question and I am sure that you will admit with my advices.
10. i read all the answers & find no answer is giving proper solution.I just helping to sort ur problem.U can try acer 4715z .Its below Rs 30,000 & satisfy all ur requirements very properly.Its good looking laptop & is a light weight.Infact,acer is better than dell,compaq,lenovo& even sony.
