How do I connect a wireless Brother printer to my Windows Vista laptop?

Ive recently purchased a wireless Brother printer and a wireless HP windows vista laptop. When I go in to install it it prompts me that there are no printers in the area, even thou there are, and it is on. Why would it say that and what can I do to connect it?

1. Vista may need to have an update for the printer, Go to their website and download the printer driver. Your printer was set up for XP probably.
