How do I get Windows Vista to detect my cdroms?

I just installed Windows Vista...HUGE mistake. My cd burner worked with XP prior to installing vista and now it doesnt work. I've tried swapping drives and it seems to be the computer not the drive. It shows nothing installed as far as cdroms and I have 2 of them hooked up.

  1. you now have driver issue's as vista is not always comparable with a XP item go to http://windrivers.com/vistaDriver.html this site is for drivers for vista only, look for you cd-rom and then download that driver. also verify from device manager that you only need just cd-rom drivers, that way you can get every thing at once. also good site for vista help is www.howtogeek.com this site is updated often
  2. Install the CDROM driver
