How do I uninstall windows vista on my laptop and then install windows xp?
I just bought a new laptop and it came pre-installed with windows vista, but vista is a memory hog and I was wondering how I can uninstall windows vista and install windows xp. I'm running on a Toshiba Satellite A135-S2276 laptop if that helps.

- You can't "uninstall" Windows Vista. You will need to choose the format partition option while installing XP from your Windows XP CD. Assuming you have one.
- you can always save what you want to keep on disks, and completely reformat. That's one sure way of getting rid of vesta and everything else you don't want. Make sure before you do this that you a copy of everything you need, including a legitimate copy of Windows XP, and whatever other programs you have that you want to keep. then, just reinstall everything. Sometimes reformatting is healthy for a computer. Gets all the Junk out.
- You don't. You'd have to wipe the hard drive and install XP, and you don't have XP drivers.
