  1. Yes but it will be slower and will cost u more money... i surgest keeping xp... until u get a new pc with a oem edition of vista already on
  2. A lot is different... the two biggest features are certainly 64-bit processor support (which means you need a new 64-bit processor to take advantage), and using DirectX 3D as a window manager (which means you need a lot of memory and good video card to see windows look 3d sometimes). Do not bother with Windows Vista. Particularly not with a 3 year old computer.
  3. about 250 quid haha.
  4. Not much difference in functions - but the display is much nicer. Many programs though have not updated their software yet so it might cause problems if you upgrade to Vista. Also you'll have to make sure you install more memory in your pc. Vista needs minimum 1g memory. Stay with XP for at least another couple of months.
  5. my opinion is that xp is a much better system, i got a new laptop last week and i hunted around till i found one with xp. it runs much faster and is compatible with all other software and hardware but vista has huge compatibility issues
  6. The differences are only minor, and frankly, not worth the money. IT's a different OS, New Skin, Features, Utilities etc.... But at this early stage, Vista is very easy to Download and Hack. I'd stay with Home Edition if i was you, It's what im running and my life runs fine =)
  7. You will need to do a clean install of vista and you will have to back up all your files, as you will lose the lot. Personally I wouldnt bother and i would stick with XP. i have just chnaged from XP to vista and to be honest the only advantage is the sidebar. Vista has just tried to copy the mac, and failed miserably. Dont watse your money, it truley isnt worth it.
