How do I remove a windows vista starter icon that is always showing in my desktop?

I have the starter version of windows vista and there is always an icon at the lower right side of the screen that is over all windows. It is annoying and I haven´t found a way to remove it.

1. Pay lots of ca$h to Micro$oft for a true operating system. You have been scammed. Vista starter edition is actually a sort of demo sofware, pretty much useless. And of course, they make it annoying so you won't like it and buy a full version. But Micro$oft still charge you for it. Can you say scam? Uninstall that junk and get windows XP. Or, if you don't want to pay them even more money, be adventurous and try Linux. My recommended Linux version is PCLinuxOS. Try it, just download it and run it from the CD, you don't even have to install it. You'll find it easy to use, easy to learn, and you won't be wasting more money.
