Do I need to purchase windows vista home premium to run the installer on windows anytime upgrade?

My PC came with a vista anytime upgrade and do I need to purchase vista home premium online to actually run the installer for it, or will purchasing it only give me a serial key? I have a serial key but I don't have windows vista home premium. Do I need to purchase windows vista home premium to run the installer with windows anytime upgrade or can I run the installer and when it installs enter the serial key?

1. I'm pretty sure you can upgrade from your computer right now, and it will give you all of the keys and things. GOOD LUCK

I think, if you try and crack it, the installer would also have to be cracked, if not, then you'll have to use a online installer, therefore being verified, which wouldn't be able to be cracked, the server would notice that, and probably press charges against falsifying legal program's script and or coding, you might not wanna get that, so, try this, install the ISO on the disc, and then install it, that way you bypass having to activate the server, if you have had problems installing it's probably because of the version cracked information, and it needs to be updated to a later version, also very possible, windows patched it..
3. It's all about buying, with Vista pre-installed you run the Any time Upgrade and you will be directed to the Microsoft site where you can pay and download the upgrade. It would be different if you had the vista DVD which contains basically all the versions and you just need a serial key for the version that you want and run the installer again, but you have to contact Bill Gates and give him a lot of coins to get that serial number and then run the installer from the DVD.
